Happy July 5th everyone! Why is it happy? Because it is once again Friday and I get to share another sweet and wonderful wedding with you! I simply love all of the sweet, classic details of this Fort George, Florida wedding photographed by Daylight Photography and planned by Emily Grace Design! Take a peek at the loveliness and check out the info from the bride Allison too!
What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?
There were a few things that helped make the planning process go smoothly. First, I stayed very organized the entire time, from the guest list to the gift/thank you notes, to contact information, and even spelling of the bridesmaid’s names, everything had a place! Secondly, I decided which aspects were the most important to me (food, photography, decor) and tried to be the most involved with those things, but then delegated the rest to my fiancee and my parents. And third, I hired vendors who I could trust to help create the wedding of my dreams.
What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?
It was most important to work with people that I trusted would do an excellent job, both in understanding the vision we had for our wedding as well as executing the details to perfection. Of course not everything can be perfect, but having a team of vendors that we trusted was paramount for me!
What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?
We wanted a wedding that was classic, romantic, elegant, and yet relaxed. I’ve loved the timeless look of a classy, elegant affair, but also wanted guests to feel comfortable throughout the celebration. I think Emily (of Emily Grace Designs, my wedding designer) did an outstanding job of creating this atmosphere.
What was your favorite thing about your wedding?
It is hard to pick just one thing! There were so many small, yet extremely important details that were part of each element of the wedding. From my dress which had custom work done, to the memorial bouquet for Kyle’s mother who passed away, to the choice of the music, to mini cupcakes representing our rival schools, to the favor for our guests which was a donation in their honor to the children’s home where I work (complete with a picture from the kids – it’s adorable, I’ll attach it because I don’t think Mary took a photo of our favors!), and so many more details – we tried to make each element of the wedding meaningful and a celebration of our love. Our personalities were truly laced throughout the entire day and that is what made the wedding so special to us.
What is your best piece of advice for other brides?
Enjoy the planning! Things can get stressful, of course, and that’s okay to feel that stress in the moment. But remember that being engaged is such a lovely and unique time, and while it may be easy to be constantly looking forward to being married – soak up the moments with your fiancee while he (or she!) is your fiance and enjoy planning this extremely special celebration together.
So sweet right? I love how she and her event coordinator had a cohesive idea that really showed through in all her details! She definitely nailed classic, sweet, and elegant! And I simply love her advice to all you brides to be out there: stop for a minute and remember that planning your wedding should be a ton of fun! Enjoy the choices and the time with your special someone and take it all in, every second!
How are you planning on “stopping to smell the roses” on the road to your wedding day? Can’t wait to hear all about it!
Cheers!
Samm

I love the dress and the adorable ring bearer, but the best part by far is the pure love that the bride and groom shared on their special day which is evident in each and every picture – great post!
Love love! Thank you all for the feature– it was an honor to shoot this wedding, and as always, to work with Emily Grace Designs!
