I’m so excited to be sharing these at home engagement photos with you all today, because if I could do things all over again with my husband, I would have had our engagement session at our home, capturing us in our everyday life! Part of a special series from Central Florida wedding pros celebrating the joy of being engaged, Eunice and Donovan’s engagement session captures the essence of the phrase, “Home is wherever I’m with you”. Ly Sue of LH Photography, Siuleth of Eleven Note and The Busy Bee Events & Design, created a feeling of “home” to express the love of Eunice and Donovan, while also highlighting their love story and daily life together. The result is absolutely gorgeous and so heartwarming, and I can’t wait for you to see!

Amongst the task lists, guest list, vendor list and check lists, there is a list of reasons to celebrate your engagement and the number one item is love! Being engaged isn’t just a time to plan a wedding, it’s a time to celebrate! It’s a time to celebrate the past and the reason you fell in love, a time to celebrate the future and why you are getting married, and a time to celebrate the present because your love is a gift.
With that, we recently embarked on a journey with a team of well-respected wedding professionals in Central Florida to capture the true meaning of engagement through a project called Captured & Engaged. Captured & Engaged is not only a series of engagement shoots gifted to the couples who are featured, it’s a tale of real recently engaged couples captured by love and celebrating their engagement in meaningful ways. It showcases their love expressed through inspirational compositions designed, styled, and captured to tell each couples unique love story, and we are so excited to share the first of the series, “Home is Wherever I’m With You”!
Together, Ly Sue of LH Photography, Siuleth of Eleven Note, and Shannon and Jenna of The Busy Bee Events & Design set out on a mission to create a feeling of “home” that not only expresses the love our featured couple, Eunice and Donovan, have for one another, but a way to show through a lens how they love spending time with one another and highlight the everyday little things have a significant impact in their love story. Inspired by the fact that they love spending time together at home and their favorite date night activity, building a living room fort out of pillows and blankets, we created an overall feeling of warmth through the different scenes. Eclectic vintage furniture against the light filled space, pops of yellow, Eunice’s favorite color, and highlights of whimsical and romantic details throughout provided a light, airy, and crisp ambiance for Eunice and Donovan to relive moments at home and celebrate their love, which is exactly what we set out to do. Most importantly their love really shined through, and they filled out hearts with joy as we knew we were celebrating the start of a beautiful and exciting time in their lives, marriage!
