Julie and Andrew’s Georgia wedding was the perfect mix of traditional and modern, and we love the personal touches and the industrial feel they created with their wedding style. The said their vows in a traditional Catholic ceremony in the church that the bride grew up in. They then headed to The StaveRoom for a more modern industrial reception full of fun cocktails, dinner, and a night of dancing. We love the delicate mix of classic tradition and modern industrial, and their event planner, function., did a beautiful job pulling off this style.
These two first met on a group dating service called Grouper, and while the service wasn’t long lasting, their love surely is. We love that they included a nod to their dating days by incorporating a grouper shaped cake for the groom’s cake to go along with their classic white wedding cake. The incredible chalkboard feature behind the bar that not only provided a bar menu, but a heartfelt thank you message that they shared with guests. The also incorporated a variety of textures such as concrete vessels and slate table numbers that created a perfect compliment to the loose organic florals mixing soft pinks and white with a bold pop of burgundy created by Amanda Jewel Floral + Design.
We absolutely love the beauty and style of Julie and Andrew’s wedding day, and are so excited to share all of the moments that The Decisive Moment captured!
Wasn’t their style such a fun mix of classic and modern? A fun surprise that they added at the end of their evening as guests danced the night away was a late night snack of miniature Philly cheesesteaks and thin crust pizza topped with duck and fig preserves. We are all about late night snacks, but these definitely take it up a notch. They closed out their evening with a confetti cannon exit shooting streamers as they headed off as their first evening as husband and wife.
So many fun touches they added throughout their wedding day that mixed not only a beautiful style, but a lot of personality. Are there any fun elements or moments you’re looking to incorporate into your wedding day?
