The intimate wedding has grown in popularity for good reason; it can be less stressful for the bride and groom, provide a more affordable option for those wanting a beautiful fete for a smaller price tag, and perhaps most of all, because it creates a quieter, more thoughtful atmosphere for sentimental, and in this occasion, gorgeously located nuptials.
The inspiration for this shoot came from Brianne Wright, owner of Diamonds & Dos Bridal Hair. For years, Brianne dreamed of a simple, lakeside bohemian shoot in her home state of Missouri. After coming across the perfect dress from Forever 21, she knew it was time to make this vision a reality. Along with this team of incredible talent, the idea of a free-spirited, colorful, and floral-based ceremony and reception came to life. While Missouri may not be known for it’s bohemian vibe, the team hoped to show both local brides and readers beyond, that with the right styling and location, an elopement can be anything your heart desires.
Shea Brianne Photography captured the intensity of the colors and design that came together for this intimate celebration. We love that this team took a handful of bohemian style elements to run with in this design rather than being overwhelmed with details that didn’t carry any meaning. Events by Social Graces worked to style the details to create a beautiful and colorful story that felt intentional and purposeful. From the floral sandals and the charcuterie spread on the raw edged wood table, to the colorful patterned blankets and throws that separated this space, we love the thoughtfulness of how this look came together.
Such a beautiful and bold style with deep pops of burgundy, and we love how the florals from He Loves Me Flowers created so much depth and warmth with the organic arrangements and blooms in the most perfect places.
This is great evidence that the right floral style can have a huge impact on the overall design of a wedding. What floral style are you most drawn to?
