Romantic, elegant, and absolutely gorgeous, everything about this Disneyland wedding from Kaysha Weiner Photography is flawless! Pops of pink and aqua mixed with gold are everywhere- from the bouquets and bridesmaids, to the cake and centerpieces, every detail is stunning. The bride and groom, Louisa and Joshua, are here with us today share all about their beautiful wedding:
What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?
We were helped a lot by the coordinators that Disney provided, they were excellent. We also got a lot of help from Louisa’s sister and the best man’s wife, Cathy, both of whom helped out immensely with all of the little details and DIY projects that went into the wedding.
What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?
By far, it was word of mouth. There’s too many random reviews of everything out there nowadays, and you don’t know what’s real and what’s not, so our friends’ opinions were valued much more by us. With that said, we found Kaysha, our photographer, through online searches, and working with her was one of the best decisions we made, so I guess some good luck goes into it as well.
What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?
Louisa settled in on a color scheme first, and we wanted to try to stay true to that with all of our decorating decisions. We grabbed some inspiration from blogs and Pinterest online, and bounced ideas off friends, some of who had recently gotten married as well, so we got a lot of advice on what may or may not have worked well for others.
What was your favorite thing about your wedding?
To be honest, just that everything went smoothly and that nothing blew up in our faces, and being able to enjoy the day with our closest friends and family. And our parents’ reactions to the day was what made it all worth it. It was a blessing that everything came together so well. From a detail standpoint, the carriage, by far. Expensive, but looking back, it was the most memorable feature and worth every penny.
What is your best piece of advice for other couples?
Get coordinators and learn to let go and let everyone else take care of everything. It’s your day, and it will all go by in a flash. Spend the day soaking it all in and enjoying everything with the closest people in your life, instead of worrying about all the details. Josh is a bit detail obsessive and did not do this, and this is the only thing he regrets a bit about the day. Just know that whether you plan it or if you hire somebody else to do it, something is bound to go wrong, but spend a little more on a coordinator and let them stress about it instead of you. It will be a fraction of the cost of the wedding, but it will let you fully enjoy what took you so much time and effort (and money!) to plan.
Such great advice! I just loved this gorgeous romantic wedding! From the soft color scheme to the elegant touches, this Disneyland wedding was a beautiful success.
The hints of aqua mixed in with the pink and gold is a perfect way to add in a bit of eclectic style to a usually elegant look, don’t you think? Are any of you using a color to assist in creating a more unique wedding style? What will you be using?
