A modern color palette of coral and aqua is perfectly gorgeous for today’s ocean-inspired wedding! Drawing inspiration from their time spent in Hawaii, Lauren and Rob’s Seattle wedding is absolutely beautiful- and when you add in seashells, gorgeous florals, and photography by Alante Photography, you have one fabulous wedding!
From the planner, New Creations Wedding Design and Coordination:
Wanting to incorporate that seaside flavor and their time in Hawaii, we decided on coral, navy and sea foam green for the color palette. Taking inspiration from the floral and coral found in Hawaii, our design was born. The bridesmaid bouquets were custom to each girl- creating an ombre effect from dark to light as they stood in line during the ceremony. Honoring Rob’s Jewish heritage, they said their vows under a beautiful birch wood chuppah draped in ivory chiffon.
Keeping the rest of the décor simple and clean, the centerpieces were able to take center stage. A mix of modern and whimsy, they incorporated real coral, succulents and a multitude of tropical flowers in a crown around the base of the vase filled with seashells and a candle. Other personal touches included hand-made escort cards held by pieces of coral and a seashell, a guestbook of their favorite wines to be opened at milestone anniversaries (they got engaged in Napa), a sword arch with Rob’s Navy buddies, and a serenade to “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’” by the Groomsmen to Lauren at the reception.
Aw, I love how Rob and his groomsmen serenaded Lauren- true Navy fashion! And the color palette is just perfect, don’t you think?
Are any of you planning on incorporating a place that is particularly special to you for your own wedding?
