Jordan and Charlie’s ethereal Tennessee wedding in the woods was nestled among trees surrounded by their closest family and friends. Their eclectic wedding was full of organic touches, great music, good food, and lots of laughter. So many personal touches were woven throughout their wedding day, and I just love that Charlie escorted his bride down the aisle for the sweetest non-traditional ceremony processional.
I’m thrilled to share some behind the scenes of Jordan and Charlie’s love story, as told by this stunning bride, Jordan:
Charlie and I met the first week of college since our roommates were dating each other. I had seen him on campus a few times before and was pretty excited when I had the opportunity to meet him. Meeting Charlie and becoming his girlfriend was the easiest thing I have ever done. Some of my friends joke that I snagged the best guy at our small college. When we were about 5 years into our relationship, he proposed to me by tying the antique ring onto a ribbon on our pet rabbit’s neck. After meeting Becca George for wedding plans, I knew we would be able to create our wedding in the woods. Charlie and I spent the entire wedding day together, so that’s my favorite memory because we were never apart. Another favorite moment was when my mom did a ceremony reading of 1st Corinthians in English and unexpectedly finished the verse in French. (My mom and I are both French teachers!)
I love that they chose to spend every moment of this magical day together. Paul Rowland Photography‘s style beautifully complimented this couples’ vision for their day, and Modern Vintage Events pulled off every detail so seamlessly. You will not want to miss every gorgeous detail that was woven throughout their day to create the most dreamy woodland celebration.
The design of this day is just dripping with magic. Light bulbs dangling over the feasting tables, pears sitting atop the dinner plates, lush garlands with organic blooms at every glance… it’s hard to pick one favorite detail from this wedding day.
What unique details do you plan to incorporate into your celebration?
