It doesn’t get better than a Christmas wedding! We are feeling all the holiday vibes in this wintery Massachusetts wedding captured by one of our V-List favorites, Lynne Reznick Photography. When you love Christmas like Mike and Sarah love Christmas, a holiday wedding is the perfect fit! Mike’s green velvet suit is the ultimate dapper yuletide look and is so classic paired with Sarah’s elegant faux-fur wrap winter bride style.
We love the way they incorporated festive details, like a Christmas tree escort display, evergreen wreaths from Petal and Crumb, evergreen and pomegranates incorporated into the centerpieces. Oh, and the table numbers, which are all “days until Christmas”, except the number of the days was actually the table number! Even their guest book was a tree skirt, lovingly signed by all their guests. This is definitely one Christmas wedding done beautifully, and we can’t wait for you to see it!
Tell us a little a bit about your wedding.
Mike and I love everything Christmas, the dressing up in festive attire, listening to Christmas music, decorating the tree, and watching Christmas movies while drinking hot cocoa. A Christmas themed wedding seemed like the perfect fit. Instead of our annual Christmas party we would get married and invite all of our family and friends. We wanted Christmas tress, presents, wreathes, and a warm, cozy feel. Our color pallet would be deep reds, forest greens, and metallic colors. The Grand View not only decorated for Christmas it also had a fire place. I loved the wooden dance floor, the light fixtures, the fire place, and they had Christmas Decorations. Best of all it was large enough to accommodate all of our family and friends. It was an added plus that it was set on a beautiful lake.
What was the most important to the two of you while planning? Was there anything that you chose to splurge on or skip?
The most important thing was making sure we had good food and great music. It was also essential that we get a great photographer, as they are the one who would capture our day and the wild times of the day. Our wedding is a time to get everyone together to celebrate. We wanted to make sure they have a great time and were able to dance nonstop.
Do you have any advice for couples planning their weddings now?
The last month before your wedding day is when everything feels most hectic. The little details are being finalized and the anticipation is starting to really kick into overdrive. Take a breath and remember why you are getting married. People won’t the littlest details, but they’ll remember how much fun they had celebrating you and your loved one. Try to remember that when you are wracking your brain over the small details.
And with this festive holiday wedding, we would love to wish you a Merry Christmas! We hope yours is full of love, family, and amazing food!
