Happy Friday everyone! I am SO excited to share this sweet vintage eclectic wedding with you today! Taking place at the unique location of a shuffleboard club, you can thank Papered Heart Photography for the gorgeousness you are about to see. And make sure to take a peek at what the bride has to say too!
What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?
My husband was a huge help. He was very supportive during the entire planning process and it was fun to include things in the wedding that he made specific requests for. We are both really creative types and we play well off of each other’s ideas. The wedding was our biggest project together to date! We also couldn’t have pulled it all together without the help of our friends and family. There were a lot of people pitching in during the final days leading up to the wedding.
What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?
Since we didn’t have too many vendors we really took the time to find people who had a style that meshed well with ours’. One of the best decisions we made was hiring our photographers. They are so talented and fun to work with! We are really thankful that we will always have the beautiful photos to remember our special day.
What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?
Our wedding was a blend of things we enjoy. The color palette was inspired by nature; lots of greens, blues, browns, and tans. The venue was a historic building in Saint Petersburg, Florida because my husband is an architect and loves the character found in older buildings. The rest of the wedding was a combination of things we crafted, thrifted, or that was made by friends/family members.
What was your favorite thing about your wedding?
I love how our wedding felt like a big party. We were surrounded by people we love, good food, fun music, and a relaxed atmosphere. What else could you want?
What is your best piece of advice for other brides?
Relax and enjoy the ride! There will be bumps in the road, but it is all part of the process. Don’t get hung up on the small things. Remember at the end of the day you will be married to the love of your life.
I love how so many brides are giving the advice to relax and enjoy your time planning for your wedding and your wedding day! So tell me, how are you going to make sure you can relax on your wedding day? Some fabulous vendors maybe? An extremely detailed timeline? I want to know!
Happy Friday!

So pretty! Love the bouts and fun details. Especially the shuffleboard!
Stunning wedding. Love the rustic vibe and the beautiful colour scheme. The lighting in the photgraphs is so dreamy :)
Where is that tree? I’m in the St. Pete area and would love to find it!
There are many large Banyan trees in St. Pete, this one just happened to be in front of the ShuffleBoard Club.
Do you have any extra vintage postcards you would be interested in selling? We are having an upcoming wedding and am in search of vintage postcards of shuffleboard club and am having difficulty finding some. Thank you so much! Beautiful wedding!
