You’re about to catch a glimpse of a very pretty Texas wedding; however, I do have to say the flower girls and ring bearer walking down the aisle together might steal the show ever so slightly! Katherine and Michael were married just outside of Austin at The Salt Lick. The venue has a wonderful outdoor space, and I love how the two styled their cocktail space with lounges just behind the ceremony because it allowed everyone to stay comfortably outside that much longer! The rustic, garden design flowed effortlessly into the indoor space for the reception. With florals by Westbank Flower Market, coordination by Platinum Weddings & Events, and inspiration from the bride’s day-to-day style, you’re going to love the images from Katherine and Michael’s day captured by Jennifer Lindberg Weddings!

What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?

Being in the hospitality business, I was able to plan most details personally. Which was amazing getting to do almost everything that your heart desires. However, Amy Mader, with platinum weddings and events helped with some guidance during the planning and 100% day of details – which was a great stress relief to take off the bride.

What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?

How vendors responded to my inquiries, their communication tactics and survey results.

What was your favorite thing about your wedding?

Besides marrying the man of my dreams? (J) … The overwhelming feeling of love from all the family and friends at one moment in time and in one space.

What is your best piece of advice for other brides?

Be sure to research and ask as many questions as possible. The more planning, meetings, discussions up front – the less chance for something to not work out the way you envisioned it.
