A modern preppy style with beautiful classic details created a colorful and cheerful setting for this Naples wedding day!
Set at the colorful Naples Bay Resort, the team at Wedding Lux guided Kelsey and Zach as they navigated through planning their wedding, and we love how the details of the day came together. Bold navy blues with pops of bright colors were a perfect balance to the classic, preppy style of this bride and groom. From the white blooms carried by the wedding party, to the bursts of orange and pink throughout the ceremony and reception design, Tom Trovato‘s floral designs created a perfect balance to the contrasting navy and white throughout the design of the day.
We love how Lana Ponomarenko Photography captured such precious moments for these two, and we hope you enjoy the beauty and joy celebrated throughout this sweet couple’s wedding day!
Tell us a little a bit about your wedding.
Naples Florida was Kelsey and Zach’s first vacation together in 2014. Both had traveled there prior with friends and family and had wonderful memories there. They had both invisioned having a destination wedding and this served as the perfect spot since Kelsey’s parents have a place there. They wanted to be surrounded by their family and best friends in an intimate ceremony performed by Zach’s Dad followed by a live band, bright colors and lots of love. Navy gold and ivory were the staple colors as the venue was a beautiful marina surrounded by boats and colorful condos.
What were your favorite parts of the day?
Everything from start to finish. We loved doing a first look and having all our family and bridal party pictures before the ceremony. It was very special having Zach’s Dad marry us. At the end of the night we had a trolley bring everyone down the street to an Irish pub since we didn’t want the night to end. Being surrounded by all our family and friends as the sun set behind us as we became husband and wife took the cake.
Did you include any family heirlooms or special traditions?
Kelsey used her grandmothers wedding band as hers. She also wore her great grandmothers bracelet, sister in laws earrings, other grandmothers ring sewn to her bouquet and wore Zach’s grandmothers bracelet.
Do you have any advice for couples planning their weddings now?
Take a deep breath and enjoy every moment. Take time before typing up check lists and labeling any directions so you can just relax and enjoy your special day.
What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?
Lana, our photographer, helped with our timeline and Wedding Lux helped us find our vendors. As far as planning and flare- it was a joint effort with the bride and groom.
We love this couple’s classic style mixed with bold pops of color that make for a vibrant and cheerful day of celebration.
Are you considering adding any bright pops of color into your wedding design? We want to hear more about the color combos you’re styling with.
