HAPPY 2013 friends!!! I have been DYING to share this with you all, but alas, I’ve been saving it as something special to start the new year off! This beauty of a feature is what I like to call a photo-shoot-turned-dinner-party… or in more formal terms, the Starlit Supper. My friends Megan (editor of Glamour & Grace), Laura of Ashton Events, and I teamed up with some amazing Tampa Bay and Central Florida wedding professionals to create inspiration for a starlit, beachside engagement party. Since it’s common nowadays for a couple’s group of friends to throw them an engagement party, we wanted do something a little different and provide inspiration for this type of celebration!
Pulling inspiration from geometric shapes, emerald green, and gold, we created a gorgeously modern, chic dinner party. [Sidenote: Coincidentally, the day AFTER this beautiful event took place, Pantone announced that their 2013 Color of the Year was emerald green. Yet another reason this is perfect to feature today!] And not only did this “dinner party” act as beautiful inspiration, but it served a dual purpose of also treating all the vendors involved to an evening of wining and dining under the stars! Becka of Studio222 Photography and the team from Imprint Cinema were there to capture the inspiration of the starlit evening, so friends, I am so excited to present to you… the Starlit Supper!
And now for beautiful film from the evening by Imprint Cinema…

Oh, and I just had to include this photo of myself, Megan, and Laura… I just love it so much. It kind of perfectly sums up 2012 for me (coming up in another post today). :)
I’m sure you all know by now that I always LOVE designing around a specific theme or concept, so when we decided to have a focus on geometric shapes- specifically, the hexagon- I was head over heels IN LOVE. Add in lots of gold glitter (my new obsessions- thank you for that Megan), a fun color palette, and a dinner party for some of my closest friends (also becoming my new obsession)… oh, and I can’t forget to mention that all of this took place the week that this pretty little site launched! It was truly a celebration in all kinds of ways- and I wouldn’t want to start off 2013 here on ELD any other way! A big huge thank you to everyone who participated in this photo-shoot-turned-dinner-party… I have a feeling this might not be the last! :) [PS: Glamour & Grace is featuring the shoot today too, including more photos not seen here, so head on over there to see more gorgeousness!!]
Of course all of this doesn’t just have to be inspiration for an engagement party… it would be pretty fabulous for a wedding too! What do you think? Would you have a theme like this for your own wedding? Or what about the colors… are any of you going to be using the “Color of the Year”, emerald, in your wedding?
Vendors who made it all happen…
