I’m not usually a big fan of wedding inspiration shoots focused around a movie or story, but THIS one by Sarah Kathleen was inspired by “Alice In Wonderland”, and I LOVE it! With a hip, funky couple, bold, eclectic style elements, and lots of clocks, treats, and pink flamingos, everything about this is fun, gorgeous, and most of all- inspiring!
I just LOVE the bold, eclectic style of all of this! I love showcasing inspiration like this, because I think perhaps sometimes brides shy away from having their wedding inspired by a movie or a book. But the thing is, if it’s what YOU love, sometimes nothing else will suffice. So friends, YES, you really CAN have a wedding inspired by your favorite book or movie! (PS: if you’re not brave enough to go for it for your wedding, there’s always your shower!)
What do you think of this Alice In Wonderland inspiration? Have any of you been inspired by a particular book or movie for your wedding?
Vendors who made it all happen…

This bride and groom seem like such a fun couple! Beautiful wedding! You’re right, the wedding inspiration just need to reflect the couple in every detail =)
Wow! Beautiful shoot. Amazing pictures and the whole styling is awesome!
AH! this was the BEST start to my day EVER! I am so excited and honored to see my beloved Alice shoot on your blog. It was definitely my favorite so far in the whole Fairy Tale Series that I’m doing (http://sarahkathleen.com/blog/category/ever-after-series/). Thank you so much for featuring it :) I’m so glad you loved it as much as I did. And i am TOTALLY using this theme for my “next wedding” (AKA: anniversary party??)
Holy moly! Absolutely LOVE this. Really stellar job.
i LOVE Alice in Wonderland as a theme, and think that there are so many different varieties of things that can be done with it. There are simply amazing ideas here! From here makeup to the bouquets and the tablescape, it’s truly alice in wonderland.
A bit ago i featured an “addison in wonderland” party that was a spin off for a little girls birthday party, and while it had the same theme, it’s so inspiring to see how one person interprets the theme as compared to another: http://www.theeventcrashers.com/the-real-deal-addison-in-wonderland-birthday-california/
How fun! I love seeing everyone’s interpretation of Alice in Wonderland. I had an Alice in Wonderland baby shower so i’m definitely a fan! I love his boutonniere, top hat, and her socks!
I love the bridal bouquet and the groom’s hat! What inspiration. This couple seems like one that will always have fun and always be young at heart.
Thank you every last detail for featuring our fun shoot. It was an amazing team that put it all together and I loved having it photographed in our garden at the Dana-Powers house.
