I am loving this Seattle wedding that I have for you all today! From the beautiful photography by Jennifer Wohrle Photography, to one of my favorite color schemes of pink and gray, everything about this wedding is absolutely gorgeous! Most of all, I love how positively happy the bride and groom are- you can’t help but smile when you see them!

From the lovely bride, Shannon:

What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?

My friends and family were very helpful in my planning process.  My Mom checked out stacks of wedding books from the library, and my friends sent me lots of ideas from blogs or from other weddings they had attended.  There was so much inspiration out there and once I picked my colors and a general theme (vintage chic) it was all downhill from there…sort of.

What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?

First was that the vendor shared or understood my style.  I knew that if we had that in common I would love whatever they did.  Second was that it fit within my budget, or that it was a big enough “want” that I would stretch my budget for it.  Prioritizing what was most important to our day was helpful in making those decisions.

What was your favorite thing about your wedding?

My favorite thing was having everyone I loved in one place.  But my favorite detail was the mantle in the venue adorned with family wedding photos, bud vases and candles.  Guests loved looking at the pictures.  Then of course my dessert table and the live band.  We danced all night!

What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?

My colors (pale pink, grey, and ivory) and the season (Spring) were my biggest inspiration.  I was married in May which is every girl’s dream as far as flowers go.  Lots of peonies and sweet peas adorned the bouquets.  I also wanted some vintage details so I added touches of lace here and there, and borrowed my best friend’s milk glass collection for the centerpieces.

What is your best piece of advice for other brides?

What will matter 1 day after the wedding?  3 days after the wedding?  A week?  If you won’t remember it, let it go.  The details are wonderful, but it’s about the whole day. Don’t stress about bathroom kits or favors.  Remember you’re marrying the person you love and that will last a lifetime…sugared roses on the wedding cake won’t.

Such excellent advice! Shannon, thank you for sharing with us, and a big thank you to Jennifer Wohrle Photography for sharing her beautiful photography!

I am loving the pink and gray- it’s definitely one of my favorite color combinations! And the table names- I love it when couples choose things that are meaningful to them to be a part of their wedding day! How about you? Do you love these colors as much as I do? And what do you think about the vintage chic style- classic yet a little modern, right?

So happy to see Ryan and Shannon’s wedding featured! And I love Shannon’s remarks: What will matter 1 day after the wedding? 3 days after the wedding? A week? If you won’t remember it, let it go. The details are wonderful, but it’s about the whole day.

Love this wedding! We’ve also worked with Manette Gracie in our recent wedding so I’m sure this wedding went on without a hitch.
