I love the idea of a styled bride & groom session! Why? Well, why not use it as an opportunity to wear your gown again without truly “trashing” it? Add in some fabulous decor and your groom, and you have tons of gorgeousness! The mix of succulents, the mountain landscape, and the earthy tablescape are simply stunning. By focusing on the bride and groom’s fun and natural style, AK Studio & Design and Irresistible Weddings created a beautiful backdrop to help their everyday style come to life in this shoot.
From the Photographer:
This bride and groom are both incredibly stylish. She is an interior designer and he does some part time modeling, so we wanted to make their bride and groom session just as amazing as they are. Along with the bride, Tina from Irresistible Weddings and I styled a tablescape to go along with their upcoming wedding. We also felt like they had such a great style that it would definitely qualify for a style that could inspire other brides who were putting together their own bohemian weddings. Ashlee, the bride, contributed a lot of elements and many of the pieces that we used were from her own collection. She has a very bohemian style so it was amazing how everything came together and was such a true reflection of her unique style. With gorgeous pops of rich color, and many rich textures the tablescape and floral came together without an overwhelming splash of color. Every piece that we used was a unique element on its own from the wood charges, to the hand made ceramic pot, and all the different textured fabrics, it brought such a dept to the look. No detail was overlooked. Even the bouquet and boutonniere had their own unique element to it. Rich bright florals with touches of succulents, and the florist used fabric from a vintage twill suit to wrap the bouquet. The bride is a huge fan of succulents and so we integrated those in as much of the decor as possible.
I’m not a “trash the dress” kind of girl, so this kind of shoot really speaks to me (and to Lauren too!). Would you trash the dress or opt for a variation of this amazing bride-and-groom styled shoot idea?
xo,
Brit
