Happy Monday! I just returned from a little weekend trip to NYC and OMG it was freeeeeezing!!! My body is now in shock- going from 30 degrees (NYC) to 80 degrees (FL) cannot be healthy! ;) And so of course I’m going to start this week off with a beautifully vibrant green and blue wedding from the fabulous ELV photographer, Captured Photography By Jenny! The bride Jessie is also joining in to share a little bit of her wedding planning insight with us.
What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?
My mom was my right hand through the whole process. The day of the wedding our venue had a wedding coordinator available to help with the last minute details and took care of the bridal parties should anything have come up.
What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?
I wanted to ensure that the venue was a well oiled machine and that they were organized.
What was your favorite thing about your wedding?
Our photo booth and candy bar. Seeing people excited to dress up with props to take their picture and strike a goofy pose. Also the reaction to 35 jars of various candy brought a sense of childhood and a huge smile on their face.
What is your best piece of advice for other brides?
Spend time with your new husband! I know it sounds silly, but during the reception you are talking to/visiting with so many different people that you end up on different sides of the room. Make sure you stick together and enjoy this magical night because it goes by fast :)
Jessie’s advice is SO true! I experienced the very same thing- we ended up getting separated from each other because we had so many guests to visit and say hi to! Wow! Those dresses are fabulous. The photo booth tickets are so unique, and I love a groom who tears up as his bride walks down the aisle :)
The beautiful flowers were done by Natures Bouquet in Wellington, Florida. They did an awesome job.

Love this! Favorites: Paisley ties, the centerpieces, how genuinely perfect the bride and groom look together. :)
On the surface this might seem to be a very casual, for-family wedding… but if we look carefully, we can see how detailed things have been planned. So many photo-worthy moments!
(And I really like how they held their ceremony in a sunny outdoor venue… I want to do the same too!)
