One of my favorite things is when a photographer says about a wedding, “It was very them.” And that’s exactly what Heidi Mitchell Photography said of Tiffany and Jeff’s Florida wedding, adding that it was “simple, sweet, and full of love for each other and their close families.” Tiffany wanted a simple, rustic wedding on a budget so she enlisted the help of family and friends to make the boutonnieres, hair pieces, centerpiece art work, and reception decor. She carried a locket with her grandmother’s photo and her shoes were signed by her parents in blue ink–her something old and something blue. Don’t you love that?

What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?

My wedding coordinator Lauren Salas was a huge help, and a close friend, Amber Nardino.

What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?

The most important thing I wanted to ensure was that everything was really true to who Jeff and I were. I wanted to be very involved in every detail of my wedding day and the vendors all pretty much stepped back and let me do things the way they were intended to be done.

What was your favorite thing about your wedding?

My favorite thing about my wedding was probably my cake and the bonfire we had. My cake was flown in from BCakeNY and it was a huge hit. It looked beautiful and was delicious. My sister ordered it for me and it was such a huge blessing.

What is your best piece of advice for other brides?

1.) Do a first look. It was one of the best decisions we made. The day went seamlessly after that and it was such a beautiful and private moment. Also, the guests were grateful they didn’t have to wait to enjoy the reception after the short and sweet ceremony. 2.) Get pedicures the morning of and spend time with those you love. Rest and enjoy every minute and don’t worry about the details.

I love all the details and the simple little touches like photos of the couple in mason jars. How creative! A big thank you to Heidi Mitchell Photography for these beautiful photos and to Tiffany for sharing with us about her Big Day. By the way, brides-to-be, heed her advice–rest, enjoy every minute, and don’t worry!
