Happy Halloween everyone! This weekend was the first time in years that my husband and I dressed up for Halloween. (If you’re curious about what we were, you can see the photo that I tweeted here. If you’re confused, here’s a hint: Parks and Recreation.)

Okay, enough about costumes, let’s talk about this awesome wedding I have for you all today! It’s absolutely perfect considering today is Halloween and all- deep, dark colors plus a little spookiness, yet still absolutely gorgeous and elegant. “Enchanted Forest”. Isn’t that an amazing theme to have for your wedding’s style? I love it! Oh and this is an Every Last Vendor wedding dream team- with amazing photography from Pure7Studios, planning by It’s A Shore Thing, and invitations and paper products by Gourmet Invitations! The bride Brittnie will be taking us on a little tour through her “Enchanted Forest” wedding too!

What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?

I seriously could not have made it through the day without my AMAZING planner, Jennifer Warwick-Lewis. She went above and beyond my expectations of what wedding planners were capable of doing.

What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?

I did tons of research on wedding planners in my area. I met with a couple and chatted on the phone with a few then I went to It’s a “Shore” Thing. I knew I had found THE ONE! Everyone there seemed so excited to hear about my ideas, crazy as they may have sounded, and instantly started coming up with their own ideas for my wedding. They genuinely seemed just as excited as I was. If you don’t instantly “click” with a planner, chances are you shouldn’t work with them. Beacuse you will be stuck with them for however long it takes to plan your special day.

Did any of your vendors do anything special for you before, on, or after your wedding day that you would like to share?

I told Jennifer that I wanted a candy buffet at the reception, it was just an idea. She said I didnt have to worry about a thing, that she would take care of it. I eventually forgot about it and when it came time for my reception there it was, the most beautiful and delicious candy buffet I’ve ever seen. She had even gotten custom labels and bags made for the candy. It was amazing. Our wedding had a bit of a “creepy” theme so she even got skull and gargoyle shaped lollipops.  Our Photographer, Pure7Studios, sent my husband and I a custom made christmas tree ornament with one of our wedding photos in it for our first married Christmas. then on on 1st wedding anniversary we recieved a delicious box of gourmet chocolates, also from Pure7Studios. Things like that make a couple feel more like friends and not just another client.

What was your favorite thing about your wedding?

There were SO many things that I loved about my wedding! I really loved the music from the ceremony all the way to the reception. For the ceremony we had a string quartet play nontraditional wedding music. The groomsmen and bridesmaids walked down the aisle to an arrangement of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Beliveing”. I walked down to an arrangment of Etta James’ “At Last” and the processional was an arrangement of KISS “I Was Made For Lovin You”.  BBoy Productions did the music for the reception and people of all ages were shakin’ it on the dance floor the entire night.

What is your best piece of advice for other brides?

Try not to worry too much about what people think of your ideas for your wedding. It’s not their wedding, it’s yours. The day is for you and your future husband. It should be ALL ABOUT YOU and what makes you unique as individuals and as a couple. It’s a celebration of your love for eachother and if you want to dance down the aisle wearing sunglasses, and feather boa then by all means go for it! Be you and have fun with it. That’s what makes a wedding a true success.

Wow, thank you for that Brittnie! I couldn’t have said it any better- in fact, I did say it in last week’s Thursday Tips! :)

So how’s this for an AWESOME wedding to feature on this Halloween day?! A big thank you to Pure7Studios for sharing this wedding and all of it’s amazingness with us!

Now tell me- what’s your favorite part of this “Enchanted Forest” wedding? I think my favorite thing is the flowers hanging from the chandeliers (you know my love for hanging things), but the Blood & Smoke Martinis are pretty awesome too! You know what else I’m curious about? If you could have any kind of themed wedding, what would it be? The wedding of your wildest dreams. Okay, and GO! (Oh and Happy Halloween!)

For those who are curious. The watch on the bouquet was my “something old”. It belonged to my great grandmother. The skull garter was hand made to match our wedding colors. And the pictures with white background were taken in the amazingly fun photobooth provided by pure7studios.
