This wedding that I have for you all today is one that is close to my heart. It’s actually the wedding of a childhood friend of mine- I’ve known her for almost 20 years! Deanna and Sean are both creative architects who live in DC, and they had a pretty specific vision of what they wanted their wedding to be like- an eclectic style using peacock colors, with some vintage elements. When they decided to have their wedding in our hometown of Ocala, I knew I would be able to pair them up with some excellent pros to bring their wedding vision to life. Oh and their wedding anniversary was yesterday- happy anniversary Deanna and Sean!

Deanna and Sean’s designer eyes chose Ashley Brockinton Photography, one of my favorite husband and wife photography teams in Florida! They also worked closely with MMD Events for their florals and decor, and I helped them out with the details and planning. I think I would have loved this wedding even if I hadn’t been there on the day of! Get ready for a massively awesome post!

These two are so cute! See their converses? Sean was already wearing his, and Deanna changed into them after the ceremony. They also gave a pair to each member of their bridal party too!

Deanna and Sean wanted to have escort books, doing double duty as an escort card and a favor. Guest names were placed on the spines of the blank little books, and the “title” was the table number. Inside the books was a double-sided bookmark with one side as the menu and the other side as a thank you to guests. The bookmarks also served as the “meal indicator” for the servers, with different colored ribbons tied to the top for each type of meal.

Feathers were incorporated in decor elements throughout the wedding- namely here, at the entryway and as “feather mobiles” hanging from the chandeliers.

And my favorite detail, the table numbers! Of course made by you-know-who. ;)

I loved their sweetheart table! MMD Events created wallpapered “wall panels” to add more color to the room and make more of a statement with the table. Oh and they had an adorable “sweetheart bench” from MMD Events’ new vintage rental line! Every couple should be able to snuggle up next to each other on a bench at their sweetheart table! Wallpaper panels were also used to adorn the dessert tables, with the desserts displayed on painted vintage shelves.

I love these last two shots! There were actually a few “dance circles” that formed throughout the night, and somehow Deanna and Sean became the center of this one! It was hilarious! And that very last image- their “exit”, which really was via golf cart around to their limo. Oh and the tables were my favorite! Eclectic “found objects” from antique shops and Deanna’s grandmother, combined with colorful bottles and vases, accented by teacups filled with succulents. Oh those teacups. I’m pretty sure Deanna and I wiped Ocala’s thrift and antique stores clean out of teacups.

Like I said- they had a vision for their wedding, and we made it happen! Guests were raving (and still are) about how they had never been to a wedding like Deanna and Sean’s in little old Ocala- and that’s exactly what they were going for! :)
